Our Frieze Highlights

At the beginning of the month, Frieze London and Masters landed in Regent’s Park. This inaugural art fair featured more than 160 of the world’s leading galleries. Artwork varied from today’s emerging artists to iconic historical figures. The three day event also staged live performances, lively discussions and interviews with artists.

At Frieze London, newly curated sections included ‘Woven’ which presented eight solo galleries exploring textiles. The fair also saw the continuation of sections such as ‘Focus’ that highlighted galleries aged 15 years or younger. Overall the fair was a colourful myriad of artwork that ranged from an entire room covered in graffiti, huge lemons encrusted with gems and a boat made out of fragile ceramics.

On the other side of Regent’s Park, Frieze Masters presented historical artwork from the Ancient era to the 20th Century. Trinity Fine Arts displayed a Botticelli portrait which is the most expensive artwork ever to come to Frieze Masters. Other booths in the fair presented renowned works from artists such as David Hockney, Picasso and Basquiat.

Constantine supported clients throughout the duration of the fair including the installation, transportation and packing of artwork. The images adjacent are taken from the booth of Craig F Starr Gallery. Image credit to Dan Bradica.
